Good Information to havepulled up behind her and put his lights on. Lauren’s parents have always told them never to pull over for an unmarked car on the side of the road, but rather to wait until they get to a gas station, etc. Lauren had actually listened to her parents advice, and promptly called 677 on her cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that she would not pull over right away. She proceeded to tell the dispatcher that there was an unmarked police car with a flashing red light on his rooftop behind her. The dispatcher checked to see if there were police cars where she and there weren’t, and he told her to keep driving, remain calm and that he had back up already on the way. Women ae admonished by Dr. Goldberg the author of the award winning and highly acclaimed book WOMEN ARE NOT SMALL MEN: Life-Saving Strategies for Preventing and Healing Heart Disease

And…Now in its fourth year, the Red Dress Awards recognize and honor the foremost experts and organizations who are making a difference in the fight against heart disease in women. This year, we recognized three women who have dedicated their careers to heart disease awareness and prevention. First Lady Laura Bush also made an appearance, accepting a special award from Woman’s Day Editor-in-Chief Jane Chesnutt. And Entertainment Tonight’s Mary Hart emceed the event and picked up her own Red Dress Award.

Mrs. Bush’s Remarks The Heart Truth is this: Heart disease is the leading cause of death for American women. It kills more women than all cancer combined. The good news is, though, that with very simple steps, we can prevent heart disease by healthy eating, by getting regular exercise, by maintaining a healthy weight, by not smoking, and by seeing our doctors for regular screenings of blood pressure — we can really prevent heart disease.
